Head of Risk Management & Compliance

Title: AVP/ VP

Location: Karachi

Qualification:

• Qualified/ part qualified CA, ACCA, CIA, CISA or MBA with relevant experience

Responsibilities:

• Overall management of risk on both institutional and funds level

• Establish the strategic direction, risk tolerance standards, and ethical culture for asset management activities.

• Adopt and implement an adequate and effective risk management system.

• To undertake Compliance with laws, regulations directed by the state, internal policies and control processes of each department

• To review portfolio activity and risk levels, and require management to demonstrate compliance with approved risk limits

• To perform independent portfolio valuation

• Develop policies and procedures manuals for each department within the company

• To establish compliance policies and procedures for every department in the organization and perform periodic audits to ensure compliance with these.

• Play an active role in the implementation of the Code of Corporate Governance and adoption of Best Global practices

• Coordinate with Internal Audit department and actively work for implementation of their recommendations

Skills

• Self starter
• Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
• Strong grip on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook
• At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar position
• Good Interpersonal skills
